I a big fan of Mcguire but he had a right shocker today, was a little better in the second half when our forwards were on top but doesn't deserve to keep his starting place.

McGuire once and for all proved he's a great backup/utility player who is never a scrum half in a million years. He has zero creativity, no kicking game, cannot pass and is a liability defensively. It's alright at club level when you play for the best side in the competition and you can look good running onto things but it's different against Australia.

If you want the best chance of winning, yes.

I said that playing Smith gives England the 'Best Chance' of winning one game. I did not say 'If England play Smith they will win it all'. But don't let that get in the way of your irrational whining.

If that is the case, who says cannot become capable at that level. You can't assume he won't.

Sorry my mistake, I just can't see how Smith can be chosen to play against the Kiwis after such a poor performance.

Sadly, he's the second best centre in the squad, despite not being a centre at all. However, I'd have him ahead of both Briscoe's in their respective positions. Just my opinion of course.
