| Quote ANTWERP RED="ANTWERP RED"you.ve lobbied to force people to have to spend more money so i wouldnt be surprised if you did .students get reduced price season tickets and i dont see the national union of students campaigning to have all there discounts removed. so after 25 years i.ll have to miss this season the £180has to be paid in one lump sum . i do not have that amount of money. i hope you enjoy watching your team next season GOODBYE'"
Antwerp maybe a good move would be to talk to Salford about them bringing in a payment plan as many other Super League Clubs have done in the last couple of years. This would a positive move and it would not just benefit you, it would help other people too, we would even help you approach Salford if you wanted us to? You don't state if your a wheelchair user or an ambulant disabled person, maybe another good move would be to at least tell us that. I can empathise with you but my husband and I budget to make sure we have the money come season ticket time, even if its £5.00 we are putting away a week of fortnight we know its going to buy the seasons Rugby League for us and at a much cheaper price than buying a ticket on the day. You have seen here what other disabled fans want and I'm sorry they are the people who just want to be the same as everyone else, they also want to be able to able to make a complaint and campaign for better facilities at grounds without anyone being able to say 'well you got your ticket cheap, what more do you want!!!!'
I think you need to read some of the threads on this board Antwerp, this is no sudden thing its been happening a few years now I’m pleased to say. Disabled people are not seen as an inconvenience anymore and we are starting to see benefits in our game day experiences through the work we have done and the input from other disabled fans. Rugby League has benefitted as more and more disabled fans start to watch Rugby League live and we have benefitted as we are able to travel to any ground to watch our team play should we want to and expect a reasonable standard of facilities and access.
As I have said if you want to discuss how we can help you talk to Salford about the payment plan system for supporters please let me know and please let us know if your a wheelchair user or ambulant.

| Well said Gill! Antwerp you want to be grateful you have the choice of opting out! We now live too far away to get to games & I don't get a discount on sky (our only means of watching a game now!) because my son is disabled!
A fantastic job has been done to make every ground accessible to disabled - believe me that was not the case s few years ago when RLDSA started out! I could tell you some wierd wonderful & toe curling stories of the experiences we've had at some grounds in the past!

| I cant beleive what im reading on this thread. How dare you assume that you should get into the ground for nothing. It seems to me like your using both the disability card or the umemployed one, either way im disgusted.
Im a Leeds Rhinos fan and dfor the first time in my life this season ive had to use my wheelchair and my club couldnt have been more helpful. Im in the upper tier of the new carnegie and my ticket was only £155. My G/F';s ticket is free because shes my carer. I also am unable to work but would never try to use either my disability to gain an advantage. Get a grip man

| where in my posts have i asked for free entrance to the willows? knowwhere. all i wanted was to buy at the same discounted rate as a able bodied student for example .and what relevance does where i live have to do with it ? in football grounds in mainland europe a concession is given to people who do not earn as much money as able bodied people not just disabled people ie unemployed people doing there national service . your organisation does not not represent all disabled people. you have maid the RFL discriminate against disabled people who cannot afford the full price season ticket . i get a discounted season ticket for the belgian airline i use to fly to manchester .as most of you seam to live in yorkshire its the sort of reaction i expected from people from that 1970s theme park that is yorkshire.

| I'm sorry Antwerp there is no reasoning with you at all. Football is Football and not Rugby League also some of what you are suggesting would be disasterous for Rugby League here.

A great deal. So you expect us to believe that you travel to each Salford home game from Belgium but the difference in price between the two season tickets is sufficient to stop you being able to afford to attend? I don't think so.
You appear to have a full bag of chips on your shoulder and are simply looking to have a go at somebody for no reason. Get a grip.

So as you 'fly in' for each Salford game, I presume you drive to the airport and pay for parking, or pay for a taxi (home to airport) spend time (and money) waiting in the airport after checking in for your flight (another season ticket costing £££'s) . On arrival in Manchester you'll probably pay for another taxi from the airport to The Willows, have a meal/burger/whatever, buy a programme etc, watch the game, when that finishes jump into another taxi to head back to Manchester airport for your return flight.
So that makes 4 taxi journeys & 2 flights in a matter of hours. Not only will that take a tremendous effort for anybody, the costs involved will be astronomical. Yet you attack the sole purpose of your trip, the club you've '[iloyally[/i' supported for years for not reducing your season pass by £20-£30!
If you care to backtrack and read the posts by fellow supporters of RL you'll see you're very much in a minority.

I actually agree with you Antwerp Red. I believe you should get a discounted season ticket at Salford. Your posts so far on here make it obvious that you are very good at acting like a child and this should warrant a half price season ticket.
If you are not happy with the comments raised on here from your topic, stop reading it! Just because everyone doesn't think the same way as you, doesn't mean you have to spit your dummy out and criticise where we live.
I for one like Yorkshire and you obviously haven't been here very much.

| I happen to like 1970's theme parks, rickerty old wooden roller coasters an all ( I like Yorkshire too)
Hellbulls right, get a grip and grow up. Our organisation has done more good for disabled rugby league supporters more than you'll ever know (or probably care to find out).
Shall I tell you how it used to be in the "good ol days?" At the Boulevard if you were disabled you had to park your car on the pitch behind the sticks and it was a bonus if a conversion landed on your bonnet, we've come a hell of a long way since then.
We want equality, not special treatment. I need a seat with leg room not the best seats in the house, I need a parking space close to the ground, not the chairmans parking space, I need a lift to get my wheelchair upto my seat, not someone to operate the lift for me. Why do I need to pay a special price to see my team?
Lee makes a great point, you obviously pay a lot of money to come and watch Salford which is applauded so why the whinging of the extra?
I think you have the gripe here with Salford and not with the RLDSA which you claim.

You can. If you're a student. And if you're not a student, why should you get a student discount?
