I don't understand why that match wasn't first. Both have good support, both are doing well in the table, and the last time they played there was only 1 point between them.

The stadium is simply too big and the layout of the stadium just makes it even worse.

Fans will be still in the pub though watching this on the sky and will filter through for the later games

Perhaps, as the idea of the weekend is to attract new fans, a little papering of the crowd wouldn't go a miss for next year?

I believe the "attendance" last year was 60k over the 2 days. That doesn't say if that includes weekend ticket holders counted just once or twice. But either way, that's still at least 10k empty seats in the millenium stadium.

The smart thing the RFL should do is go round the local schools and give out free junior tickets that are only valid with a full paying adult. Get a video presentation and go into schools in the area and give an assembly showing how fast and exciting RL is.

I mean, that is the point isn't it? Expand the game? Attract new fans? Grow the business? Or is that just me looking at what the best angles would be to accomplish what should be the RFL's goals?

Yea the whole point would really be to get actually Scottish people into their own stadium to watch some rugby league. Hopefully some of the big names who are playing later on will do that, if Quins Salford aren't.
