lower tier clubs have, and always will be feeder clubs. Its the same in every sport. Always has been, and always will be.

A little tip for you my trolling friend. You need a little more subtlety, the thinking we had the same number of teams as the NRL, the use of HKR, Salford and Widnes as your examples of clubs being relegated and not suffering, your idea that HKR were sustainable before promotion, its all too obvious.

I will like everybody post something that is incorrect. It will be very occasionally (We did go to 14 when the NRL was 14 clubs did we not ). However, 99% of what I say I believe and it will be correct. I am not here to troll, to wind people up. I leave that to others like yourself.

Perhaps the wrong ' term ' , yes clubs like Leigh and other similar clubs have always ' fed ' their best players to the bigger ones [ although we used to get a transfer fee back in those days ] , these days it is probably much less so , as in truth we are more likely to ' fed ' by the SL clubs due to the wholesale ' hoovering ' up each area's junior talent

This however is a completely different scenario , and yes your proposal is different , but still completely unworkable , and unlikely to happen

Will the same clubs always be feeder clubs? Leigh as an example were the best team in British RL around 81/2. Barrow slightly later had an era when they were a top team. Halifax had a great but brief period under Chris Anderson. Feathertstone won a CC.

It isnt the wrong term. It is the correct term. You just dont like it because it goes against your argument. It is right and it is healthy and it is good that players play at a level which correlates with their ability and development. That will mean that the best players will play at the top level, players not quite good enough, or not quite there in their development will play in the leagues below. If they improve to a sufficient level they will move up leagues, if a player loses form or fitness and fall below that level they will drop a level. I dont see why you have a problem with that.

there is nothing unworkable about it. It would be quite easy to administrate and would work. The issue would be convincing the 5/6 clubs who have got it right at the moment to give up the competitive advantage they have earned.

We are not Australian or American, we are British. Look at all the major sports in this country. All gobbling up the big sponsorships because people turn up and watch competitive sport. Oh and smokey dear boy ....... Nah i can't be bothered.
