It is likely that £20 to stand in the open in tired facilities will put off some travelling supporters or occassional 'impulse' fans. If the season does not go as well as last year you are asking people to pay much more money for weaker performances.
I recall reading that the club had reduced season ticket prices to 2008(?) 2007(?) levels. if the number of ST sold has stayed the same as 2009 then there will be lost revenue. If the ST sales have rocketed [on the back of a good 2009, some good signings and optimism about Newmarket] then the club could be 'ahead of the game'.
You would think that a jump in ST sales would be trumpeted. Has this happened? |

Given your obsession you know very well nothing has been trumpeted, because if it had you would not have mentioned it. As to the actual numbers, they’re never revealed, aside from a percentage.
However, the junior season tickets which were on sale for £15 in the all the schools the community department worked at proved extremely popular and sold like hotcakes although no numbers were given. |

I do not know this. That is why I asked.
If things have not been trumpeted then it may suggest sales have not increased. This would mean , at best, sales close to 2009 but revenues down. Not good. better news re the schools. As a long term method of building support it is a good move. |

all this talk about wakeys crowds is nonsense.
up until last year our cowds were growing steadily. then superleague added two teams with zero away support into the mix hence most teams attendances dropped. then the fact that games where we might have expected decent crowds. leeds saints, warrington hull and hull kr at home were all shown live on sky.
all these teams generally have a decent away following.
did anyone else have 5 out of 13 home games on tv? what were their gates like last season?
looking at the tv schedule for this season i think we should pick up where we left off in 2008 so long as the team keep doing well
