But anyway it's not just about Super League, the licencing system was poison for many non SL clubs' crowds. Nothing to play for, why bother turning up?'"
London balance out the loss of Bradford who were down to 5,200 in their final year....London were 1,294 in 2014.
As for it not just being about SL, the only thing that has seen Championship crowds increase since 2014 was Bradford being in the Champs in 2015/16/17, HKR boosting it further in 2017 and Toronto inflating C1 last year and the championship this......crowds at paces like Fax/Fev for games against the likes of Batley, the cumbrians, London etc are nothing to write home about...and summer bash 2018 was the worst attended event to date......so the death of RL outside SL isn't the fault of licensing, it is the fault of the clubs who fail to attract fans to their games.......without Bradford or HKR turning up, there just aren't the fans to support professional full time outfits in the 2nd tier....Halifax are the best run club in the 2nd tier by a country mile, but they can't possibly hope to challenge on the back of 1,500 crowds.

It's not an opinion it's a fact. Whatever. Leeds is far and away the largest city in Rugby League. And while it still has no Premiership soccer team, is fertile ground for Rugby League. The Headingley complex is far and away superior to anything else RL has to offer. Always has been. I remember the first time I went to Central Park, I was expecting a Wigan version of Headingley, it was, even then, a dump. Of the RL test grounds from my youth, Central Park, Fartown, Station Road, are no more and Odsal is and always has been a joke, Headingley is the one survivor which can still claim to be worthy of international football.

| You have to be wary to go back and coach the team where you were regarded as a legend. It might not be right for the individual or the club.
James Lowes at Bradford - I'll forever idolise the bloke as a player for us but he isn't made to be a first team coach. He's an able assistant.
Keiron Cunningham - Another hooking legend. I'm not a Saints fan so I don't know how conflicted they are about his legacy given he was one of the greatest players to wear their shirt, but as a coach he appears to be even worse than Lowes.
Kevin Sinfield clearly has quite a lot upstairs to compliment his fantastic playing career, so perhaps he'll go ok, but it's a risk.

that is why he has Lowes to blame things on.
Sinfield won with his ability to con the officials a number of times.

Yes that's why Sinfield had such a great career, by conning officials - give your head a shake.

I'm not saying he wasn't a very talented player, just pointing out one of those talents was practically ref'ng the game. Ask any none Leeds fan, him and Burrow constantly bleated to officials.
