9857_1341488583.jpg WEST COAST PIRATES
NRL expansion? Sometime soon, maybe......:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_9857.jpg |
|
| Game showed our strengths and weaknesses, good up the middle with forwards off loading to back up players is our strength, terrible out wide defence and giving stupid penalties costs us games regularly. Wigan will make you pay for errors and unfortunately Welham running out the line at every chance was gift they were not going to pass up on.
We are what we are, a mid table team hopefully going to get better.
ps I wish we "only" got 300 travelling fans to every game at CP!

Is that all - I would be keeping quiet?
Also I bet the £17 is gross so actually the loss would be closer to £200

Be honest would you want to spend good money to watch a game at a dump like that?

| Quote: Him "I have no idea if Hull FC & KR are the worst in the league or not, frankly it's irrelevant if they are. Hull is a rugby league city and for 2 professional clubs to have such low numbers of local players is a very poor effort from those clubs. Hopefully both clubs will put a focus on their youth systems instead of signing average Aussies or even average English players. They need to be producing more themselves.'"
It's a conundrum that's puzzled me for decades.
At youth and amateur level the Hull area can more than hold their own against whatever the West Riding, NW Counties or Cumbria can provide. Once any of those players enter the remit of the two professional clubs is where the problems start. I have no idea what the solution is but a failure to develop other than the odd one or two top-class players, every five years or so, is unacceptable given the obvious talent available at lower age group level.

What sort of staff are in place when the players get to 16-17-18 at Hull FC?

Yes, I've mentioned the ones that obviously would bring few travelling fans but it shows how many teams bring small away followings, which have been quite poor at the DW.
Saints and Wire obviously attract the most away fans, Leeds used to bring lots and still bring a reasonable number if not as many as usual.'" ]
You having a laugh? We brought around 1000 or so to your place last year and the year before that we brought over 2000!

| Fairly staggering that there is a 13 page thread based on the fact that Rovers lost at Wigan by 14 points.
Granted it could've been more but it wasn't.
Perhaps this award should be for the most surprising coupon victory in SL?

No is the answer. Expect the usual coach load from most sides.

Shame but your bang on. Atleast the main excuse will be out the window. They don't have an excuse for the KC yet still don't travel.

Incorrect. Isn't there a 20 page thread on here with regards to how much FC charge away fans in comparison to home fans? Obviously wouldn't concern a wealthy lad like yourself.
As for the new stand at CP, looks good, i'll deffo give it a sample
