Or the incorrect 20m tap in the first half that they scored from. The 20m tap that was changed from the correct decision of a drop out given by Bentham by the Australian employee without being asked.
Australia's continued attempts at match fixing simply couldn't make up the difference in quality between the 2 teams this week.

| Even the Aussie winger says he isn't sure about the pass. Going by Sheens and Smith ruling out England's try due to Hall's lack of certainty then they can't complain if their guy can't be certain the pass was ok.

| Love it.
The Ockers beat England in part due to a controversial decision by a cheating Aussie. They lose the final in part due to a controversial decision by an Englishman (albeit alerted to it by an Aussie linesman).
In true bitter Ocker style, they ignore the 1 or 2 clear forward passes for their earlier try, or the incorrect 20m tap as ThePrinter and Him have said.
And they call us whingeing Poms?? No-one does 'bad loser' as well as an Aussie. Never pretty.
Rarely does karma bite so sweetly. Congrats New Zealand.

Ironically, I don't see any English or Kiwi officials moaning about the Aussies persistent head-high tackles, interfering at the ptb or perhaps most egregiously, their deliberate and persistent late attacks on the kicker; it gave me great pleasure to watch Shaun Johnson bounce back each time and rip them to bits - especially that individual effort, in which he destroyed both Cherry-Evans and Inglis.
Great game - the best team won and it's particularly satisfying when natural justice has prevailed.

Because he's the internet equivalent of toe jam.

| Quote: gutterfax "....Alas, whilst I sympathise with your opinion, the facts regarding attendance and viewers are very relevant to the it being the best tournament ever. Until we can bank 100 million for hosting rights alone, we really should steer clear of "my dads bigger than yours" comparisons, because invariably, he isn't!
OK.....I'll bite and god knows I should really know better by now.
144,722 people showed up to watch 7 games of International RL featuring teams from Samoa, New Zealand, England and Australia.
164,223 have watched England's last 2 games at Twickenham , which will have delivered in excess of £10,000,000 in ticketing revenue alone to the RFU.
Your claim about the "best tournament ever" holds no water because regardless of the undoubted quality of the games on offer, the RLIF could find a cure for EBOLA and still not make a fraction of the revenue that the other code does.
25,000 at the Final that you are now heralding....yet you wanted 40k or you'd be disappointed a few days back.'"
1 person could've turned up to each game and it would still have been the best tournament yet for that 1 lucky person and for us watching on TV.
Quit your obsession with crowd figures / tv viewing figures, put your calculator away and try actually watching the f****** games for once you absolute f****** gomper.
Night night.

In the UK we not obsessed with TV ratings unlike you and the likes of Dally Messenger. Compared to the AFL the attendances for the NRL are pretty pathetic. Compared to soccer here the attendances in the NRL are equally pathetic. I doubt anyone here will be stroking themselves over 50k at Lang Park - only you!!

Yeah!
They all had a great BBQ, shook hands on a few deals with contacts made in the hospitality tent, a few of them bought a new Range Rover and some reunited with buddies from their Boarding School days.
One or two watched the very poor Rugby Union games that were also taking place.
Rugby Union is a well run business but a Crap sport!
Back to the Rugby League . .

www.afr.com/p/lifestyle/sport/ev ... kMDFgEzQGL
