I think you have to ask the question did the Saints team force this Salford team to play with little composure. The Saints pack is a formidable one on the moment and got the upperhand after 15 mins, this meant Rangi Chase was behind his beaten pack and was nothing more than a spectator on the pitch.
What I did notice was that the coach Harris was very twitchy on every play and is probably under loads of pressure from his doctor.
This Saints team has leaked in only 5 tries in the last 5 superleague wins, so its not only Salford who are not good enough.

I think most fans are expecting an Aussie hat trick of wins. We can but dream of all three British teams triumphing but there is hope.

Personally I think one British team will prevail but I wouldn't like to say which one.

There's absolutely no reason why all 3 English teams can't win though it'll need Wigan and Warrington to dispel all notions that their games are friendlies. If they're unable to do that then the Australians will win those two fairly easily. The saints game has no whiff of a friendly about it and they're good enough to win it IMO.

Before last night I would have said Wigan would beat Brisbane - but not if they play like that! Wire will beat St. George, no question - it's just how close Saints can get to Souths, who are prob slight favourites for the game - to see if they can make it 2 from 3 for the UK teams

Leeds on Friday

Or well they may as well just not bother going then had they, just give the 2 points to em now and we will all have a night off.

As a Leeds fan I don't think we'll win next week. We're still working our way into the season and going off to Aus, missing a load of guys on return vs Widnes and the Catalans game postponed has lead to a disjointed start and we won't have the momentum at the moment to beat Saints.

Come later in the season though I think we could beat them. Whilst they're still considered one of the big boys, ATEOTD Saints have only reached 1 GF in 6 years and were fortunate to win that and no CC finals coming up to 10 years now. A lot of falling at the SF stage and it's a tough hurdle to get past.

Saints also are similar to the early pace setters of the previous two seasons (Cas and Hull) and they look to have a pretty clean bill of health ATM. See how that goes as the year goes on.

Always tough when we play em there. They look to have more gears than we do right now. Luckily it'll be ages til any trophies get handed out.

Whilst what you’ve said is true, this team is far better than the 2014 one that won the GF and obviously the 15,16 and 17 sides as is Holbrook. I’d say we’ve failed at the SF stage the last three years because we simply haven’t been good enough over the season but this year there is no excuse. I know the same thing is said every year but I was massively unimpressed with Leeds against Hull considering the players missing for Hull. They were very very lucky to win especially when you bring in some of the VR decisions and I’m not sure a half back partnership of Moon and Myler brings trophies.
