That 5th place finish again requires some work.'"

Where you finish means jack all if you win the Grand Final.

A lack of opposition on the terrace is cack.
Lowering standard of imports makes this a competition already looking like it's dying on its backside.

If we have to have something contrived bring in easts v wests

8,000 in a RLWC year, with offers of free supporters shirts as well as double ticketing offers including an England RLWC game is ing disgraceful. I could rant on about the lack of anything like a coherent campaign from the RFL, but in reality, it's the APATHY of RL fans that is most worrying.

Given that there will only be a couple of thousand "visitors" to the UK for the RLWC, how does anyone expect to fill the Millenium or Wembley stadiums?

12 quid for a ticket to this game with a free supporters shirt and yet they don't even get 8k? With Englands games being shown on FTA, I really am starting to fear for the games reputation....because half empty stadiums will simply reinforce the standing of the game as a northern pastime.

As for the Exiles game itself......what a waste of time. More than half the England team were missing and the exiles looked thoroughly uninterested.......stupid concept that needs to be binned.

Quote: CM Punk "The biggest problem IMO is the atmosphere, there's nobody to hate so it's just flat. If it were Lancashire vs Yorkshire, then people have a reason to cheer for their side and make noise, but when there's nobody to outcheer, it just becomes flat.'"

That brass band playing a load of random nonsense hardly helped matters.

The most tragic thing about tonight is how eager 'fans of the sport' were lining up to knock it before kick off......must suck being so negative and pessimistic .....oops sorry there here to 'help' the sport because they 'care' more about it! icon_wink.gif

The only positive I can find from last night's game is that it helped me avoid watching Miranda and Mrs Brown's Boys

I've had root canal work done that was more entertaining than either Miranda or Mrs Brown's Boys

Quote: Les Norton "I've heard that the administrators of RL.FANS demanded Sinfield was taken off at half time because if he'd had another half like the 1st one then alot of the posters on their forums wouldn't have anything to post about.'"

He did play well, Still don't think he's a test 6. 13 yes and he does have to play as we have no kicker. But none of our tries were anything that we created from good attacking play. 2 of them were from exiles mistakes, and one where Sinfield picked the ball up and went through a 10m gap was Amateurish from the exiles. Take those 3 tries out and we have scored the same amount of points as a disinterested exiles. The half back situation is still a concern as it created very little. Myler Chase Sinfield didnt create much as a half back combination. But Sinfield does need to play as we've no kicker. Just got to hope we can click and create something.

Pleased with how we defended but again we have a lapse in concentration and conceded two tries. Play who you want at half back, we will never beat the Aussies if we continue to do this.

Thought Cudjoe was our best player in a poor game played at low intensity agains t opposition that only had to go up to 1st gear to give us a game !.

Tomkins looked impressive with ball in hand, Sinfield did ok too and we definitely seemed to lack some direction in the 2nd half.

But i cannot for the life of me see what JJB, Westwood, Hardaker(esp at centre) and Ellis offered that team last night !

To be fair to JJB he was the top tackler and looked busy all night (Sinfield was second highest tackler in the first half) having said that when we get the NRL players in I don't think JJB will make the team against the Aussies.

Westwood by his own standards is below par this season
JJB, Sinfield and Burrow should be nowhere near an England shirt.
Ellis never seems to bring his A game to England
Hardaker maybe in a few years.
