Not entirely true. Widnes have always had our own forum long before the advent of TIW. It's always dominated discussion of rugby league in the town.

When I first came here in 2003 no one used it. There was me, Gremlin, and tumbleweed. Viking warrior came along soon after and we had the odd guest. This is because of the other site. I only used our one to try to field questions people might have and give this board a widnes presence. It also bothered me that our reputation was pretty low for some reason so I tried to represent as it were. We can all make jokes about that sometime later, needless to say the likes of Pepe and IET/Chris B have given us a far better rep than I ever did but then I did always love an argument even one which was fruitless.

It got progressively busier as the years went on and before long we had a core of about 10 people using it regularly plus guests and visitors. But its dropped off since, surprisingly recently. Take my word for it, none of this has corresponded with the TIW board coming along, as that was just a direct replacement of the old board and was some time ago now.

Super league might pick up traffic, Im hoping it will. Until then Ill keep my eye on it.
