| Quote: dally messenger "bit like the RUWC being watched by 4 billion when the real figure is like 30 million watching the final'" Please....proof of this figure of 30 million, I have advertisers who would like to knowexactly how they have been lied to.......starting with VISA. They sponsor Argentina RU........they are a global brand, unlike, say...er...VB
Rugby Union is a global minow compared to Rugby League
9,000,000 hits in a few hours.....WOW
the bomb comes from Gridiron..
Union is dead in Australia (even though they seem to get OK crowds)
AFL is second...even though they get 90k to a normal league game...
dally messenger...save yourself the pain and the mods the bother.......go away before we all die laughing
....you are RLFANS.COM number 1 joke!
Even the Mod who you begged for seems to think you are 2 people rolled into one
....bey hey...as you say, the other sites are better any way......

The claim by union that 4 Billion watched the last union world cup is very creative accounting on their part.
33 Million watched the union cup final world wide according to their own figures. their was 48 games played at the last union world cup and if every game was watched by 33 Million , which their wasn't, its still a long long way short of 4 billion.

ive done the maths and basically the real figure is 700 million, and thats still allowing for them multiplying the real figures by 4.
but 700 million doesnt sound as good as 4 billion
i guess the only thing that stopped them was the population of earth otherwise theyd have aimed higher

yes your right when you suggest that they do count the amount watching a game 4 times. after 20 minutes at half time at 60 minutes and full time. they are the only sport as far as i know who count the TV viewing figures this way.

yeah but even counting the viewers 4 times it only comes out to 700 million.
thats how far off the truth they are.
the real figure is only 175 million, and thats a cumulative figure for every game played
using the union method 3.3 million people watching an origin game becomes 160 million!

Basically when union claim the figures they do its a smoke and mirrors job.
are you aware that on average Rugby League games on Sky TV in the UK draws bigger TV audiences than union games?

| As far as live sport goes League is 3rd behind Soccer and International Cricket in the UK, which is pretty much what you'd expect out of the 3.

thats not the perception though
everyone seems to think union, even club union is so much bigger than rl
when i point out that rl gets similar club crowds and better tv ratings they are in shock

Tell your friend he's talking tosh. Rugby League is still played in schools in the UK, and i think i'm right in saying that 26 ot the 32 London borough's have Rugby League played in their schools. its only a matter of before Harlequins RL put out a side which are all products of London Rugby League schools and the surrounding counties. its coming Dally and you heard it hear first.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

really?......you're claiming to be the first to say this are you? er...OK
I also like the way that when I asked for PROOF that my advertisers had been lied to regarding TV figures for the RUWC all I got was you and dally having a chat......but no proof. If you can't show me proof that the IRB/RUWC lied, I suggest you stop posting it...because it just makes you look as stupid as each other.
