I haven't seen an announcement anywhere, and I fail to see where the money will come from. Granted, I'm not claiming to know Wakefield's financial situation, but from the sidelines it looks pretty bad still.

[Are you really so economically illiterate? The merged club got x2 the sky money. This was around £1m. The merged club had to pay off around 25 players (some with more than a year on their contract) + pay off one lot of coaching staff + pay off senior managers and office staff. That lot received the money, and rightly so..not the Giants]

they will need to have a 3 year deal (so they have a stadium for the whole licence period if planning permission is not granted )

Why not have a shiny new stadium in the middle of Hull... call the team Hull Kingston Rovers FC and bingo... we have space for an expansion team in Superleague...

More than London, Huddersfield, Crusaders and a couple of others....but what's your point?

The new licences will be awarded with attendances as a minor part......STADIUMS are key this time around and the RFL will use STADIUMS as the reason for ejection.......that's why Cas and Wakey are always mentioned in dispatches.
