| FFS Does it matter cru. They were employed illegally then. The result was the same. Funny really in the country legally and they get deported, many in the country illegally don't get deported. Either way Samuels was approached by the RFL to back a South Wales team with a cast iron promise for SL in three years, he got it, took the SL money, spent very little on the team, money has gone missing from pension funds (or not even reached them) and he made a few quid.
In short he only backed the team because he was asked and given promises by the RFL

| Lads, let it be. We've dealt with it and moved on. Why can't you lot.
I am now looking to the future and think it can be bright on and off the field. If you'd prefer to look at the past and be bitter about things that were out of your control then so be it.

| Question?
If the second year as been a success, and the administration is due to past debts etc etc. Why are the current owners trying to sell it?

It's been a big success compared to the first on and off the field. That is plain to see.
They are trying to sell Wrexham FC too. I am not sure what the reason for it is.

| Politics.
In an ideal world they'd shift them both, knock the ground down and build flats on it.

We will , when other people stop telling us how ' wonderful ' it has all been , when it plainly hasn't , look further back up the thread for the reason it was brought back up ?

This wouldn't have anything to do with Wrexham Village and all that nice land the Racecourse is sitting on, would it? Seem to remember that a certain individual was trying to move the soccer side out a while back to build on the land but the council refused. No, of course it couldn't.

| Just one point from me, both Widnes and Crusaders had a less than satisfactory person at the helm and it's costing them dear (granted we had our issues with a licence as opposed to Widnes where it cost them one)
Hopefully once all the mess is sorted and we come out of Admin we will be starting from a much firmer base than we did last year e.g. crowds up, better team than year 1 and the only way Crusaders players set foot on Widnes ground is for the away fixture!
If someone posted something on 606 stating the moon was made of cheese would everyone get as uptight I wonder?

Very likely but it would be on the Sin Bin rather than the VT.

Not when it's designated as a sports area in the Local development plan it couldn't

The away fixture against St. Helens, presumably. Saints to merge with Crusaders and play a few games in Wrexham seems a much more credible rumour than the original post.
Nice to see the Wrexham MP getting involved. Shows how things have moved on when we have Welsh politicians sounding off in the local paper [iin favour[/i of rugby league teams.
