I thought i'd put this hear rather than open a new thread.

How unlucky is Matty Bowen with injuries, last season was ruined with his knee and now it's the same again but on his other knee, could be out while July so that's most of next season.

| How good is this race to the finals? 3 points between 4th and 10th, and a very real possibility of 1st and 2nd being beat by 7th and 8th during the first week.
Top 8 - vindicated? At least for 2009 it's looking to be.

Melbourne have now lost Jeff Lima for a month with a broken thumb, i cant see them doing much in the finals even if they do manage to hang on to 4th and get a home semi. Inglis, Lima, Manu and Cross all out.
Will Inglis be back for the finals? And where's Anthony Quinn disappeared to?
Manly will be a big threat with Brett Stewart back, i think he's back this week against the Sharks.

The refs give the Broncos that game today, Folau try was a forward pass and the ref sent it to the VR who obviously cant check a forward pass and he gave it, the second Bronco try was clearly knocked on by Glenn as he was grounding the ball, again, ref sent it to the VR who gave Benefit Of Doubt, he gave them penalty after penalty and it pi$$ed me off just watching it cos they always seem to get decisions go for them, why, because it's the Broncos and they have to make the finals every year
Watched some of the Parramatta game and they are looking too good for anyone ATM. Poor Sammut had a shocker, he must make more errors than anyone in the NRL, whenever he gets the ball your almost waiting for him to lose it. I hope the Eels get the Broncos in the finals and smash them.

| Look with Penrith...and I said this last night to someone.
I'll say when they are just bad players, and believe me, we have had some sh*t awful teams.
I'll say when the players are just not putting in.
I'll say when we have holes in our side that are just too big to cover up.
This team, its just TERRIBLY coach.
Their defensive problems have not been addressed.
Our attacking structure is non existent. When its looks ok, its a fluke!
Our tactics are diabolical.
Our young players have been brought up in this poorly coached team and know no better.
Look at last night with Frank Prichard. he was on the field for 19 minutes over on Michael Jennings side of the field. All our attack was aimed down the other side.
Then Prichard is taken from the field.
He didnt come back to about the 57th minute, games already 30-0.....and thats it.
Thats just bad coaching.
Hooking Sammut, look when I saw him come from the field I yelled "Thank F*ck!", but that was an emotional response and you cant have them as a coach.
He had a shocker of a game by tried his ar$e off all night. Now he gets hooked, way to destroy a young players confidence!
They have the talent. I'm not saying they are world beaters, but you take Prichard, Jennings, Lewis, Waterhouse, Aiton, Gordon Petero and the like....and you have a bloody decent year.
They try hard, they really do.
The problem is the coaching. The coach has no idea what he is doing, his strength and conditioning people are just inept (Why is Frank Pritchard so big?) and it just is killing the team.
Best part of all this. Elliott hasn't even started the next term of his three year contract extension yet.
As it stands the club decided to give three more years to a coach that has missed the finals three times and picked up a wooden spoon in the process.
