It doesn't matter if he "mistimed" his challenge.
It was a shoulder charge to the head - no attempt whatsoever to tackle the player, just to take him out, which he managed, very well.

As far as Hull were concerned, job done and the fact that you try and defend the challenge makes you look slightly daft.

In real time its hard to pick up, especially as the ball had gone but, that doesn't change what happened

Shoulder charge? He wraps his arms - but the head did connect with the shoulder. In the split second he had to react to the ball gone, he couldn't change his body position. 2 game ban probably fair, but it wasn't the reckless, pre meditated attack to the head that some people think it was

can't help but notice your comment regarding the difficulty the ref had in real time recognising the foul by the FC player, not sure what's changed your mind over the weekend, but you were adamant at the time that the ref was as much to blame as Kendall the video ref, and in your opinion Thaler should have dealt with the incident much sooner, would you care to comment on your change of mind.

It would have been interesting if the game had not been televised, whether the ref or his assistant (linesman in old money) would have seen or done anything about the incident.

Primarily, I'm more concerned that one of Trinity's youngsters is going to be missing some game time after "swallowing" the FC player's shoulder.

Of course it matters, if it was deliberate, the punishment would of been more severe, an instant red, or a four match ban today, we will have to agree to disagree on this one.
