If ever something looks like it was written on the back of a fag packet, it's this! The club doesn't actually exist as yet, hasn't played a game yet they claim they'll be able to compete in League 1 in a couple of years, including 50% Spanish players and the "businessman" behind it claims "I regularly fly to England for €80 return" as an answer for who will foot the bill for visiting teams?
Ex-Pat Brits and Tourists are his target market.....it's sort of like a budget GOLD COAST TITANS and they have awful gates in a RL mad country that attracts tourists.....
Got to love the off season ![CRAZY d040.gif](images/smilies//d040.gif)

| Quote: Him "Great that there is some interest in these areas but is there some kind of strategy behind this? If it’s just going to be a Denver style hit and run then what’s the point?
If there’s a strategy to continue taking games to Valencia and to build the sport in that area then great. If not then it’ll be forgotten in short order and have been a massive waste of time and money.
The same is true of Catalans trip to Barcelona. What’s the point of that game v Wigan if it’s not backed up with anything else. Wigan’s game played in London is another.
We have very limited resources in RL. I’d much rather see them focussed than this scattergun approach.'"
In the link it states there is a multi millionaire business man who wants a club in Valencia to enter the league in a couple of years

So what’s the point of taking games there now? By all means let’s put a strategy together to help this club grow but this club has to actually exist first otherwise it does nothing.

Brilliant
What about Mars and Venus, we could go inter galactic.
I agree with "Him" that there needs to be a strategy but, this has never been one of our sport's strong points.
We cant even devise a league structure to last more than 3 or 4 seasons.
Forward thinking, strategy and Rugby League, like choc ice and porridge.

| Valencia is the reason that the goings on at Bradford are going on. They're taking their place and will use their existing facilities as a base when over here. But no one knows yet so don't spread it round.

You should know more about this given you used to have the richest ever club owner who still managed to mess it up

1. I never "had" a club.
2. The club I support in the UK is 98% reliant on central funding the benefactor to survive.
3. the current owner of London Broncos invest £2,000,000 a year into the business and as far as I know, the only way he would spend 80 euro getting away, is on a taxi to the airport.
This guy is a muppet flogging snake oil

What has that got to do with a super league organised event? The last of which, at the nou camp was a massive success in which there were more Spanish fans than London get for a home game

It's nothing of the sort...or did I miss when this pre-season friendly had been reported on the Saints or Salford sites? As for a SL organised event, SL will have SFA to do with a pre-season friendly. It's a gimmick by a bloke who admits to getting 80 euro return flights but refers to himself as an entrepreneur/Businessman
Gotta love the of season

Sorry to pee on your bonfire Baranaby but it had to be sanctioned by both SL and the RFL.
It is also nothing to do with Ireland failing to organise their own transport and meals properly. It is the job of the travelling team to arrange their own transport and food. The only food that has to be provided by the hosts is after the game.
This is a simple case of Ireland not doing their homework and organising properly and a Super League squad player mouthing off because he didn't like feeling like an amateur......whilst playing in an amateur level fixture alongside amateur players.
