Awful decision for me, it’s stupid from Mata’utia but there’s zero intent and more reckless than anything. Sin bin would have been fair enough but instead that’s game over.

He landed on his head. Could have broken his neck very easily. No need for that lift. Red all day. Good reffing imo.

Yellow at worst.

Incompetent Chris Kendall influenced by McDermott's comments during the week, now he's penalising Leigh to death for nothing on top of an incorrect red card...Game over, no point Leigh turning up tonight.

Red card was the correct decision

I defended him last week but Kendall is doing his best to make sure Leeds can’t lose with these penalties.

Red all day that, you dont seen a player of for that then you may as well not have the red card, inches away from career or life threating injury. Intent or not it was correct decision.

But he took a drive literally 2 plays later so nothing wrong, inches away means naff all. Any tackle is inches away from potential life changing injury.

That’s not really the point. Someone could be punched in the back of the head and walk away unharmed. The puncher would still get a red.

It was a dangerous and unnecessary throw. The rest of the game is nobody’s fault but Matautia.

It’s a yellow because you are allowed to hip toss, it’s a perfectly legal tackling technique. The outcome was not intended, but was bad, so that’s why it’s a yellow.

It’s not like he pile drove him into the ground head first. The first 85% of the act of that tackle was fine.

Great refereeing from Kendall. No ones fault except Mata'utia's.

How can you possibly know that and about the 20 seconds later he was fine. There’s an obsession with any sort of contact with the head and it’s hugely annoying.
