| Leading with the raised arm/elbow how is that not an offence by LMS?

| Good effort from Widnes, been the better team. Saints fans have to hope that Barba doesn't get injured or return to Aus soon because the rest of the team really isn't as good as they think. Would still tip a Saints win 2nd half as I don't think Widnes are strong/organised enough defensively in their own 20/30m.

| Pleasantly surprised by this game. Was expecting one way traffic but so far it's an enjoyable game.
Saints have been pretty fortunate with a couple of their trys and Widnes unfortunate not to have a couple more.
Saints class will show in the end I reckon and they'll get the win but I hope I'm wrong!

| oh and to note Carney is outstanding and the commentator for the game is also doing a fine job. Eddie can do one right now and get his pipe and slippers and go sit in the retirement home he should be at.
Carney rightly points out that nothing is 100% certain with a penalty try so you could never effectively give them if it's a 'would' (which is by definition an absolute) score a try and Wells is a c@@k womble with his interpretation/statement regarding a penalty try.

| Widnes pooped on again with that call. Lost possession.

| Absolutely shambolic, the referee has effectively swung this match with some bloody poor calls against Widnes.

| With the exception of Leeds and Wakefield, Widnes have given us more of a game than anyone else. This is why I predicted they wouldn’t go down. They can and do, at times, the basics right. Well done Widnes

| Feel sorry for Widnes today, competed well, but were done over by some plainly wrong decisions, two try that should never have been given, one up there with the worst VR decisions I have ever seen. Not saying Widnes would have won, but the opportunity was taken out of their hands.

| Widnes were good, the better team in parts but to play like that and still lose by 20 points highlights how poor they are. In all honesty they did get some tough calls go against them, on tries, but that was never a sin binning or penalty, Peyroux never touched Heremaia. I get people want the underdog to win but there were some questionable high tackle penalties as well that no ones mentioned. We were quite poor but won and no injury problems. Hopefully a Warrington win to give us a gap at the top but I’m not hopeful on that one.

You are a bell end if you don't think that was a pen and sin bin , should of been a penalty try

I'm ok with it not being a penalty try as there is a bit of doubt there with Richardson's presence but fully agree on it being a sin bin, that was an easy decision to make. The guy above saying there was no contact needs to visit his optician.

If that was nt a penalty try's then we may as well scrap the penalty try option. Widnes scored straight after so it did not really matter, but that was a penalty try, he would have scored if he was not obstructed.
