He's on well in excess of £200,000 plus nice fat pension pot (£252k a year if the numbers the RFL submitted to companies house are correct) but you're right, easy enough to claim expenses for a jolly with a nice overnight hotel and disguise it as part of the job.
The RFL even appoint their own people incl directors on their remuneration committee.

Its all part of the London conspiracy. David Hughes was hosting him, feeding him Guinness, pies and brown bags of money to get London back into SL. This is how London have received preferential treatment in the past remember.

I hope he wasn't at the union game on Saturday, when if he had wanted to see a Rugby game he should have been at the Red Devils v Warriors game.

Unfortunately he doesn't portray a good enough image for the sport. It's not that he's overweight. It's how he makes himself look with oversized, outdated suits and how he talks to the press and the outside world.

However the biggest failure of his has been to allow the clubs to re-assert their control over the sport after Richard Lewis left.

He's just not credible, for a number of reasons; the major one being that he appears to have no strategic leadership qualities - he just bumbles along, reacting to things. He's a committee man of the old school, and has done nothing to advance the game in a positive way - particularly at a time when the whole sport in this country is in crisis.

His physical condition is appalling - hardly a fitting ambassador for one of the most physically demanding sports in the world - but his obesity is way down the list of reasons that we need a new leader.

Imagine being so secure in your job that you do something as idiotic as this and know it won't make the slightest bit of difference.

He's an embarrassment

Im not interested in his fashion, a suit is a suit as far as I'm concerned. As for his massive salary, this would be fine if he had delivered fantastic results for the sport. But he is clueless, the only idea he seems to have is to interchange The England national team's name between England and Great Britain (there will be no players from Wales, Scotland or Ireland), if anyone thinks this will do anything to improve the sport, or that the idea justifies a £200k+ salary, they are truely deluded.

Not exactly the Ambassador that we want for our sport, is he.
It's hard to believe that nobody told him, unless the picture was taken at "Twickers".

Either way, he's a bloody turncoat.

Does it really matter what he scarf/hat he wears or what his suits are like? Even people going on about his weight, it's an unnecessary, crass and lazy cheap shot IMO.

Have a pop at how he runs the game and judge him on his decisions/results.
