Funny,although he did say the best team won, he isn't usually magnanimous in defeat.
Did he not go on and have a pop at the ref for Saint's holding down tactics (pot & kettle spring to mind there) and to criticise the ref for allowing it.

I couldn't give a monkeys one way or the other but he did say something similar to what the OP says ,so it's not the full interview he did on SKY. Somehow those parts have been left out on WW.com version.

As ever the pies will blame the ref as Shawn whine did in the post match interview.

Hmmm, when Bentham was seen buying a tube of KY jelly shortly before the game in a Wigan chemist people were unsure why. I'm sure Sam was pleased he bought it though.

The interesting thing will be watching how the always classy Shane Warne gets his various lads off the charges they face next week, so they're all available for selection; his defence of FPN will have to be particularly creative.

The leniency shown towards Wigan players by the RFL and the disciplinary could reach a tipping point this week. Having seen a player have his hair pulled, attacked off the ball, elbowed in the face, punched, and then shown a yellow card by a cheating ref, the game of Rugby League Is teetering on the edge of becoming a farce. I decided after last night I will not be renewing my SKY subscription because of the lack of integrity amongst the pundits and the defence of referees from that idiot Cummings. Enough is enough, I will watch my my team at live games, but will not support SKY and ultimately the RFL through subscription.
