| Quote South Coast RL="South Coast RL"Trust RL fans to take the best game of the season so far, 34 players who gave everything a gave us a great advert for the sport into a whinge about commentators and refs. I wish people would enjoy RL for what it is rather than consistently focus on the negative. Yes the ref made a few dodgy calls, they always do because they are human. They about evened themselves out, if anything they were marginally in St Helens' favour.
It was everything I hoped last night would have been except only 17 players turned up then. End to end, a game full of excitement and intensity. It's amazing how one moment can change an entire match and define a teams season. That's what Kevin Sinfield did with the 40 - 20. I thought St Helens had it until then.
Two more massive games to look forward now. Both huge for very different reasons.'"
The big calls definitely went against Saints. The knock on against Roby that was a clear penalty, the penalty against Turner, the non-grounding. In a game as tight as that, it will usually be decided on a loose ball or a dubious try, as it was tonight.

As a fan you notice the calls that went against your team and generally don't either notice or remember the one that went for your team. There was nothing wrong with the Hall try. The only complaint you could have is with the penalty just before it for the tackle without the ball which was a harsh call.
As a neutral the impression I got was St Helens got the rub of the green in the first half with it being pretty even in the second.

What a load of dribble. Get your head out of your arris and just enjoy the game. Just for once put your microscope away and have a beer.

The worlds most obvious knock on by amor? Or was that not visible through the red n white glasses?

I think that's fair.
As a Leeds fan in thought the tackle without the ball penalty was marginal, not necessarily wrong but very tight so a harsh call but for Cunningham (and saints fans) to call it as a mistake by the ref or a big call agiast them is simply not true. It was 50/50 nby definition that means some of those go against you

I didn't see that. I think I may have been at the front door paying the takeaway man. Was that before Peacock knocked on under the sticks?

| I love the trumpet at Headingley. You can't have enough trumpet; especially if it is only used to play one song for 80 minutes. Wonderful.

| Amazes me the number of people who go to listen to the crowd rather than watch the rugby!

Music to my ears. A fellow Headingley trumpet aficionado.
My how we visiting away fans are entertained. We drool with envy wishing we had such a band.
However, I do have to challenge your outrageous comment that they only have one song. It just isn‘t true. I heard a second tune 3 years ago.

Amazes a lot of us the fact people feel the need to take a musical instrument to a game of rugby.

Indeed. I heard rumours last night Nigel Kennedy was bringing his violin down to the Southstand for cup games next season.
