Isn't Rugby a name, both of a town and a surname, so the minute some chap picked up a ball at a public school (something the Upards and Downards in Derbyshire had been doing for centuries, and others in a great many other towns/villages too for that matter), the name "Rugby" became the personal property of the "Union" (an ironic name given the class it tends to represent).
No, we should challenge it in court in a different manner, we should find a couple of folk with the surname Rugby and sponsor them to challenge the UAE Unions' assertion that only it can decide what can be called Rugby!
