| Quote Cas Till I Die="Cas Till I Die"Please enlighten me, because from where I'm stood it looks like Justin Carney got punshed to the face and swung a few back (2 matches) and Peacock got a stiff arm followed by a bit of rough stuff in the tackle so he swung a few (0 matches).
There's no wonder players, chairmen, fans and coaches of 'smaller clubs' complain about inconsistency really.'"
We have the RFL in our back pocket, we can do whatever we want. It's obvious the only reason why we've ever won anything is due to this

| Pretty sure Richard Moore got the same grade as Peacock and has been banned for one match, which I thought fair enough. There should be some consistency and Peacock should've been banned as well, and apart from the decision the joke is Leeds fans can never take off their blue and amber spectacles.

| More evidence of Jamie's exemplary discipline;

| Whiffs a bit of who committed the offence, rather than what he did.
Despite certain Leeds fans' desperation to convince us otherwise, that sort of 'provocation' goes on many times a game and players don't react. A swinging arm and sticking your head in tight to the ball carrier is common, and hardly worthy of that reaction.
So can we now assume if someone gets punched and retaliates, they will avoid any punishment because they were provoked? Chris Tuson got smacked from nowhere against Saints a few years ago and received a 1 match ban after defending himself, yet Peacock gets a token fine for starting swinging after what was nothing more than rough treatment.
Very poor.

| so does this decision now mean any player who has been provoked, can start landing punches?
i don't agree with what sarsfield did, very houselike, and he probably did deserve a wallop, but as had been mentioned other players have reacted to provocation and got sent off and banned, carney, weyman, moore etc recently, not to mention joe wardle getting sent off and banned for punching against leeds last year.
will be very interesting to see what happens in the next few games regarding players from 'other' clubs if they decide they were provoked and want to start swinging punches.

Quote Dave K.="Dave K."What's the difference between what he did and Carney?'"
I've never seen the Carney incident but is anyone even remotly surprised he got a ban...

Carney has an awful disciplinary record.

This week its Leeds that are apparently favourites, we saw before with Bowen it was Wigan, every couple of weeks apparently the RFL is in favour of one team, against them the next.

Sorry but I fail to see the significance, carney was struck in the face first.... It doesn't matter if he has a dean Sampson disciplinary record it doesn't mean he should have to stand there and take a punch to the nose. If you had a criminal record for gbh does that mean you have to stand there and do nothing if someone attacks you ??? No, you have as much right to defend yourself as anybody else. Also it's not like JP has an exemplary record either is it ???
On a side note - I'm not having a go at JP as I'll freely admit he is one of the only Leeds players ever I actually like, respect and have a deep admiration for.... It's just this case shows how differently each club is treated by the 'independent' review panel is.... There are many other instances this season alone (eg Ben Westwood getting a 3 game ban for a dangerous tackle while the Wakefield player who's name I can't think of got a 5 game ban for a similar tackle). It stinks and it's about time the review panel treated each incident the same regardless of shirt colour.
