Think you underestimate championship Rugby and how the fans like a day out. I know the magic weekend isn't a final but I think it would generate a lot of interest from The fans. Grand finals and NRC finals have often pulled in your estimate without Bradford and Wakey. It all depends on who plays who and how they split the the fixtures over the 2 days. Also depends where in the season they have it.

Fevfan, write down how many fans each of the current top 10 Championship clubs take to an away match at Fev, then double it and you will have the number that would attend at Blackpool, add to that 1,500 from the Bulls or Wakey and that would be your total for the weekend

Then divide that by 6 , how many fans would get in early or would stay to watch another game, with the delights of Blackpool to be had?

The event would be a big loss maker and then not repeated IMO

I think it'd be perfect for the Championship. You could have a proper festival of rugby league for the entire sport all on the same day.
