| Now confirmed by Salford as well [urlhttp://www.reds.co.uk/rugby-news/noble-sau-will-be-box-office-for-reds[/url
Happy with that, hopefully Junior will be the catalyst we need and will be the first of many.

'We've turned-down big money. He's got a release clause. Fantastic servant. If Salford come back we'll consider letting him go."'"
You would make a great journalist. Only reading the bits that sensationalize. The actual interview states: -
We've turned down a big money move from Salford
He has a release clause to enable him to go to the NRL
If he doesn't exercise that release then we'll offer him a new contract.
If he doesn't want to extend his contract or he wants to leave then we will look seriously at an offer if Salford come back to us.
If you know our chairman you will know he is very open and says it likes it is. Of course if a player states he doesn't want to be here then we would entertain offers. However, the player in question hasn't said that and in fact they haven't even talked to him yet.

Where did I sensationalize?
It seems to me you just highlighted exactly what I did.

| Great signing, getting serious this, I think Salford could turn into the next Melbourne, I don't jest either, people will go on about their crowds, but in reality, they don't matter, once they start taking on the big boys, they will come back and new fans will be made too.
Go Salford.

Although slightly off thread it would not surprise me if your chairman gets called a vacillator.

It does seem habit forming.
Perhaps the good signing by Salford is habit forming.

And which part of any of them is not being open? The difference between Taylor, Paea and Dobson is that contracts were offered to the first 2 and talks had taken place. With Dobson, nothing has been discussed.

True, but Salfords threequarters aren't that bad at the moment, they desperately need an even half-decent pack though to make them competitive.'"
This here be the truth. I expect the bulk of the signings this season (and, for the benefit of those people who have decided Dr Koukash is a fraud, I will add 'if there are to be any') will be forwards. I'm always a tiny bit surprised we get linked with players like Chase and Dobson because, although they'd be welcome additions to the squad and probably better than what we have at the moment, I think (or hope) Marc Sneyd and Theo Fages could develop into a cracking half-back partnership given a chance.

| Due to the draw of the NRL these days, Which will see very few of the best players even consider leaving, This is a good signing.
Its no shame not to have been getting much game time at Melbourne, They are a quality outfit and he will prove a good signing, The task they have (Not sure about his contract details), Is keeping the likes of Jodie Broughton to play outside the players like him and Gleeson.
A good first signing, And as said. Someone nobody had mentioned, Maybe all the smoke fired up in the press is masking some serious work finding players Brian Noble wants.
As for Dobson, Its common knowledge Hull Kr aren't exactly flush of late, And should the doctor keep knocking, The door will probably open.
Salford could really do to get Junior S'au over now though, Rather than trying to blood about 15 new players into the side in the off season.

| From the footage on the website, does look to be a Carney clone .... and I mean that as a compliment. He'll also need someone to run off the shoulder of though; not many of those line breaks came from his doing ....
Not sure where he's going to fit in doing that defensive stuff though ...... that'll confuse the other Salford players if he tries to stop opposition players scoring

| Encouraging for Salford fans to get a serious signing onboard after the insane amount of speculation thats been going around about pretty much every player going. He will be a good signing, anyone who has watched a bit of him will know that passing isnt his thing he'd rather try and run over the top of someone. If it works great if not he can look greedy but tbh his passing skills arent the best which might be why he takes this approach. Still, will be one of the better overseas players in SL next year id have thought.
