I am led to believe that the female reporter (showbiz reporter, not sports might I add) turns out not to have been abused at all. This is just a typical example of the way players and clubs are treated by the media down under. Yet all I ever hear on here etc is how everything to do with the game in Australia smells of roses...

The Dogs have come up with an excuse that did not stop them getting a $30k fine to charity, hardly sounds like something you would do for no reason.
[iWhile the NRL accepted the situation, Azzopardi maintained last night she had no doubts the comments only turned offensive when she arrived at the ground. "Initially, the abuse was directed at our cameraman, but when I arrived it became more vulgar and offensive and sexual, directed at me," Azzopardi said on Nine News.
News director Darren Wick said Nine had accepted an apology from Bulldogs chief executive Todd Greenberg.
Greenberg said the club regretted the damage the incident had caused before defending the decision not to name any of the players who had made the comments.

lol, Jones and Hadley are shock jock scum who enjoy nothing more than running the game down, especially when it comes to the Bulldogs. The whole "insult" thing was just another media beat up by a Sydney media that for some strange reason seems to hate the most popular game in town. Weird but that's Australia for you!
