| 10 minutes cool-down for LMS and Hock. Maybe red for Tuson (for landing the most punches). That's all. Fair stand-up scraps are nowhere near as dangerous as some things that happen on a rugby field that the refs completely ignore.

| If only Thaler had some jurisdiction over Phil Clarke.

I'd agree with that, reason Tuson reacted so badly is cos Magennis deserved it!

| I'll certainly re-watch it as I'm obviously watching this with a biased view and in quite passionate circumstances but it seemed LMS was -housing Hock shoving his head into his then squaring up with his head in Hock's face.
I think the way the game has gone has shown that if the ref overreacts it can make things worse as the players feel even more agrieved.

| Hardly a panic call. He had a good chat with the touchies.
Right decision for mine.

| It's rugby league, things get heated, it's a derby game, things get especially heated, sin binning's all round and a stern talking to was all that's needed.

| Watch it back in slow motion a few times, it actually looks like Mossop who throws the knock-down punch?

| How the hell can you say Tuson was worst? Meggennis waited until he turned then punched him from the back. He deserved everything he got.

| Good job by Thaler, appropriate decisions.
He's the best ref in the league for me.

| Just seen the replay again and there is no way that LMS deserved to stay on if Hock deserved to go. Wigan had already won the game, Saints' frustrations were getting the better of them and they boiled over.

Hock had to go for leading with the head and following it up with a series of punches. There could be one or two other people going to Red Hall this week following the brawl.
