Then again nobody in the media seems to be able to spell Maguire'"
Are we talking about the former Wigan coach or the Leeds number 6?

It would appear we're talking about both Michael Maguire and Danny McGuire. The media appear to think the spellings are interchangeable.

Excuse me, some members of the media know the difference
I just don't know the difference between Brian McClennan and Brian McDermott!

That's easy!
Brian McLennan used to be the St. Helen's coach.
Barrie McDermott is the new Leeds coach and Brian McDermott is a football manager at Reading.
The Leeds captain, Kevin Seinfeld is better known for his eponymous role in a 1990's American sitcom.
The new Wigan coach, Shane Warne is widely regarded as one of the best spin-bowlers of his generation. Their captain is also called Shane.
Hope this clears up any confusion.

| Cummings must still speak with clubs as this was taken from a Sandercock interview after our defeat to Leeds.
Quote HULL KR coach Craig Sandercock is calling for video replays at all Super League games.
It follows admissions from the RFL that officials made a crucial error at the Robins' expense in their season opener at Leeds last week.
So much at stake: Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock.
Sandercock spoke with head of referees Stuart Cummings this week to discuss his concerns over the officiating at Headingley.
And Cummings admitted Leeds' third try, scored by Kallum Watkins after an hour of play, should not have been awarded.
The score swung the game in the Rhinos' favour, giving the defending champions a 16-12 lead.
It was an advantage they held on to as they ran out eventual 34-16 winners.'"

| Is his job solely to work with the referees in the professional game though, or does he also have responsibility for development of officials at all levels?
If it's the latter, does he have the time to devote to fire-fighting with SL coaches, most of whom are merely whining after defeats?

True story - or at least there'd be fewer problems.
