Clarkson's funny though: most of the public sector should get off their ar$es and try doing a proper job and then complain when they have to fund their own pension and future completely on struggling businesses and whatnot. This guy here just had nothing better to do on his weekend.

So teaching and nursing are not proper jobs? I think public workers should get better pensions because they generally dont get paid well enough for the work they do and should be compensated in later life!!

Ironically, (and despite the 'off-season silence' that Pottinger claims), the 'highlight' links at the bottom of that page have NRL placed second only to 'top stories' and ahead of all other sport.

I'm relishing the thought that it's only a few weeks before Pottinger has to endure the misery of another NRL season.

The bit that angers me is the bit about the first World War and what i regard as a slander that RL players did not do their bit. I am doing a study on Warrington players who died in the Great War. One is a lad called Johnno Stuntz, who was an Aussie, who joined up in March, 1916, and died on 3.5.17, in the Second Battle of Bullecourt. Johnno didnt have to join up. His father had a German heritage, his mother was Irish, he was married and he was in a reserved occupation (NSW Fire Brigade). He played for Wire in 1909-10 and then went home to play for Easts, Wests, and Souths. If anyone had a good excuse not to join up it was him.
His death was on his first day of action.
This idiot forgets (or neglects to say) that RL players from Aus did volunteer and lose their lives, and that Anzac Day is not reserved for Aussies, there's quite a few Kiwis involved too.
