Didn't think it would take long for that name to pop up.

| Quote wakey_saint="wakey_saint"Clive Sullivan or Lance Todd would be my top 2, although to be fair Edwards holds the record for most CC final appearances and wins at Wembley for any player so wouldnt protest too much if it was him either!!
How about James Roby for scoring the first try at the new Wembley?

I think the statue needs to be of a player who has achieved at international level, rather than for a specific club.

Pretty sure you're correct, run in along the right touchline.

| Quote Odem="Odem"Not quite sure who it will be or what it will be.
First person that springs to mind is Edwards. He won 9 challenge cups at Wembley as well as playing and captaining GB there.'"
Not sure brad clyde will be nominating shaun edwards, but he has to be a contender with his record at the twin towers.

| Wouldn't like to be the person making that decision. All the names mentioned deserve their place, Shaun Edwards, Clive Sullivan, Robbie Paul, Trevor Foster, Mike Gregory all deserve a place. You could have RL players all the way round the stadium and still have players missing who deserve to have a place.
I personally would choose Lance Todd. Most RL fans know the name, but don't have an image of Lance Todd.
Or maybe, to save arguments, have the a statue of the famous old trophy?
Either way the RFL should be congratulated for organising this,

| Needs to be a player recognised both domestically and Internationally. Someone that has been given an MBE or knighthood but not sure who has? On the field Hanley would have been a good one but too many wrong doings off the pitch will count him out.

| I'm going to risk a hiding here but Lance Todd would be a poor selection. He's already significantly commemorated and theres more to Rugby League than 1 bloke. A significant percentage of RL fans wouldn't even know why he is such a legend of the sport.
