The money is there in exactly the same way Wakey have the money - dependant on a planning decision.

Wheldon Road is sold, the money is released when OUTLINE planning is granted. In the same way Wakefield's money is released dependant on the outcome of the PUBLIC ENQUIRY.

So in that case, Cas are in front on the basis of Outline planning permission will come through before the public enquiry result if the timetables haven't changed since I last saw them.

So what were Cas supposed to do when Ben Bailey REFUSED to pay up what they had agreed to in a contract so the deal was cancelled? Or what were Wakey supposed to do when the government wanted a public enquiry for their stadium?

I doubt he will have a good answer, in his world we all have a council that will build a stadium for us and if we dont its just becuase we cant be bothered, i wonder if widnes promised the rfl they wouldn't go into admin?

as you well know being in adminstration during a franchise period is no longer a major consideration.
also, we never had a franchise, so i fail to see how we could have promised anything regarding going into administration on the back of a franchise. BTW, going into administration happened before the franchise announcements, it would be a bit strange to promise to not do something which had already happened.

Not a chance. Fax should (and i suspect they will) just get on with life in The Championships. If they get serious fanancial backing and the crowds hit a regular 3,000 then it'll be time to take interest again. Until that time they shouldn't even contemplate applying again. If the lower division clubs wanted to apply some pressure for change then that might be the best way to do it. Had it happened this time, the RFL would have had to explain a shrinking competition to Sky.
