I suppose a technical breach means:

- Leigh spent what they had projected they could spend and did not spend more than that -
- BUT they didn't make that projection (a projection which was presumably approved by the RFL when plans were submitted) because of various factors some of which would have been foreseeable and some perhaps not.

I can see how this technical breach is much less serious than spending more than you projected you could, as long as your original projection was not deliberately inflated.

It seems to me a harsh penalty when you consider what penalties you get for going bust (which we might get hit with based on current events).

What we are not told is how much the deficit was - was it a quid or a million quid?

I meant would it preclude a club from applying , I doubt it would have any deciding factor as it was a minor technical offence , just be nice to know , I'd hate it to crop up at the last minute , unfortunately these things are important these days
