| If Raynor meant to do that, it was an amazing bit of skill. It would be incredibly dirty and idiotic thing to do, but bloody hell it looked incredibly difficult to ping a diving, swerving player, whilst he is running across, at those speeds right on the jaw. I personally dont believe Raynor is that good he could have done it deliberately
what seems strange though, and I would question,is how Ganson saw intent, but needed somebody else to tell him actually what had happened

| i didnt think it was bad at full speed, but i stand corrected. showed it again in half time analysis, its disgraceful, correct decision.
But why no penalty try?

| Tried to dislodge the ball, got it wrong. Yellow card would have been sufficient.

| He got the sending off bang on, but he missed the other bit ... that was a textbook 8 point try.

Exactly. If that was an open hand you could argue it was and accident however closed fist makes that very difficult in my opinion.
On anothere point what a totally horrific crowd.

Raynor has no history of that kind of play. For me it was a reckless strike at the ball rather than a deliberate blow to the head. Thought it should probably have been a yellow.
On a related point - why no penalty to make it an 8 point try? You'll never see a clearer instance of a player fouled in the act of scoring.

| Personally i think he was trying to punch the ball out of his hands and completely misjudged it, should have been a yellow.

If he was aiming for the ball he must have the worst eyesight and motor control in modern sport.
He was nowhere near the ball, had a clenched fist and swung his arm in an upward and sideways arc which is not how you'd attack the ball.

| Top quality decision? It killed a promising game, red-card for that is daft.
