Remember the lads who were good at sport at school ?
How they often were not at all academic ?
I am full of admiration for the fitness and commitment required to play professional rugby league, but lets be honest, it doesn't attract the most intelligent candidates into the game does it, and yes, I know clubs actively promote ongoing learning while in their employment and Leeds have done a lot of that with their Carnegie connection, but then sports science isn't exactly the most demanding of topics is it ?
