Another note is, the Wakey fans are getting excited about the prospect of a millionaire taking over the club, yet none of them have taken into account the fact that what if he wants to run the club like a proper business and make them SELF SUFFICIENT first, you don't become a multi-millionaire by pumping money you'll never see again into sporting ventures, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him operating with a smaller/cheaper squad until the club can run at a level where they can run without costing him money.

Reality is RL clubs in England have two main sources of income that is variable: fans through gate and corporate support. Wakey need a decent stadium if they care going to alter either.

As tb pointed out, the points deduction is dependent on several factors. Crusaders were handed -6 because they carried over some of the debt to the new business whereas those you mentioned shed all debts and were therefore handed a stiffer points deduction.

That was quick and I didn't realise they had been rich enough to buy out the builders of the stadium, the land owners and payback any loans (probably backed by the land) to WMDC.
