The lowest SL gate was for the game between Paris SG and Salford at the Charlety Stadium on 2/7/1997 and was given as 500 (I'm always suspicious of gates quoted in round figures!). Friday's gate'll probably be a tad over 1000.

The problem is, that you cannot even blame the south wales fans. Who in their right ing mind put the game at 6 o'clock. Everyone who wants to attend the game has to take the afternoon off work. It's a ing disgrace.

Funny how nobody makes a song and dance when long established clubs like Wakey and Salford get poor crowds week in week out. Or nobody trumpets the massive success of Le Cats who are having to expand their Stadium to meet demand. Funny old game. They might not get a great crowd on Friday night but in 5 years time they will have left Wakey and Salford for dead.
