| sean o'loughlin, after the captaincy has been taken off him he has been fantastic in every aspect of his game; direct running and distripution, not ignoring his defence.
although amos will get all of wigans plaudits lockers has been our backbone so far.

| I'd much rather see O'Loughlin get it than one of those peskey wingers.
Man of Steel should be about, well, steel.
A different award should be handed to the backs

Nine English players have won the man of steel awards whilst super league has been around compared to three Australians. How many Australians have won the award over all I’ll let you look that up.
The whole super league competition is a retirement league for Australians is a myth.
Want me to spell it all out for you?
Whilst playing for Warrington Allan Langer was called back into the state of origin squad by Wayne Bennett. Heck in 2003 he was even playing well for the Brisbane Broncos
How about Jamie Lyon whose appeared in a fair few grand finals sinces returning to Australia from England after playing with St Helens.
Tonie Carrol went back to play for Brisbane Broncos after a short career with Leeds Rhinos. He played for a long time with them too!
Trent Barrett, Andrew Johns, Stacey Jones, Adam Mogg & Greg Bird are others who were good enough to fit into a NRL team after playing in super league.
The fact is if you’re a good player you want to test yourself out in different environments in the world to see if you succeed.
We’ve had British players playing in Australia playing well and good Australian players playing in the English leagues playing well.
Lesson Over

| Kyle Eastmond is extrmemely influencial this year as well as scoring heavily but am sick of Saints players winning the acolade. Matt King is looking very strong- about time too, its only taken him 3 seasons to adapt.
Even with my glasses on i cant see any Bradford players worthy of it so arent gonna bother plumping for one!

So Craig Fitzgibbon, who has been mentioned, who has played for Aus. a reported 19 times, 11 Soo, and 250+ NRL games is someone who isn't up the NRL standard?
He also won player of the season for Roosters last season, iirc. (And yes, I know that they didn't do well as a club, but the point stands).

| Can't see Amos Roberts winning it. For a start he's a winger. Then there's the issue of his consistency. Sure, he's played well so far. But with Roberts you just never know whether he's on the cusp of a stinking run of form.
I expect the usual suspects for MOS.
Peacock (if he stays fit).
Graham.
Dobson.
Sinfield etc.
I suppose you can throw Eastmond & Tomkins in, too.

3761.gif i pick up the mike
and then create rhymes
with a sense of direction
that's willing and keen
and then groove
without nothing to prove
and to give you a clue
what new thing to be seen
we'll take you on up
bring you back down
you'll feel good
we'll help you unwind
when you feel vibes
it makes me feel right
and that's the way that i make it mine

| Roberts made a fine mess of the game at Bradford. I've rarely laughed as much as I did when he coughed up that ball to set them up for the win.
