| Quote Gaslight="Gaslight"=#8000FFMeh nothing new, last press release said 12k then leave the rest for expansion, and the RFL have acknowledged a plan B on the Jungle too which would be a minor extension taking it above 12k getting another tick in the box.'"
Certainly a lot different from what you were continuously claiming last all last year!

| Whilst not a disaster its obviously not great for Cas and I agree with Vastman in that I can see in a few months time Cas announcing that they will end up sharing the ground with Wakefield.
As for the license critera, I dont think its too ridiculous to expect your top tier clubs to have a half-decent stadium.

Why shouldn,t clubs who still play in ancient dumps in the year 2010 be under pressure to deliver stadiums they have talked about for a long time?it,s not like they are expected to build a replica of the San siro anyway.

| Widnes also completed their stadium in phases. It was almost 10 years between the erection of the North and South Stands until the East Stand was finally built.
I just wonder if two stands, which will take Cas close to 11k, will be accepted by the RFL.

although I like the place it should not affect their licence place , so a 2 stand new development would fit the bill , to set an arbitary 12,000 capacity is silly really [ and I have for several years teased Cas fans for the RFL changing the rules on the number of seats required in SL to let you back in in 2006 '"

No , you are getting confused , that was to increase your overall capacity by 2,000 to 12,000
You still dont have the required number of seats that clubs had to have back in 2005

| one idiot cas fan told me i was wrong when i said the club hadnt secured funding for the ground yet
it shows the lies people tell on here to defend their club and why it makes it harder to work out whats going on
cas are safer as their greater crowds mean wakey are the ones who will go
both clubs needs to pool resouces and build a commonly owned ground
both clubs have money from their current grounds, plus a joint bid would be easier to get approval from council as its not just favouring one club over the other

stupid RFL trying to grow the sport by putting pressure on clubs to improve grounds
the future of RL should be decided on who wins the Championship GF

The Cas ground has planning permission, the Wakey one will have it this year, what is there to approve?
Oh, and clearly Cas don't have money from their current ground, as that is the reason why the funding has fallen - due to the land being earmarked for housing. The ground being in a blast zone and the economic climate do not help pull in developers to go through with the ground purchase...

neither club can finance one on their own
a joint ground will be easier to finance.
cas ground is still worth something isnt it? they will have funds to contribute
and a joint ground will be easier to get council money as its not favouring 1 club over the other
a joint ground makes so much sense
and thats why it wont happen
