Quote PopTart="PopTart"but what's the point of putting Aussie imports into the Welsh team. The idea is to get Welsh players playing, not just to win a game against England.'"
A game against the Scots or Irish might be a more useful stepping stone.
The 2008 squad that got beat 74-0 looked stronger:
Wales (from): Dave Halley (Bradford Bulls), Damien Gibson (Halifax), Aled James (Celtic Crusaders), Lee Williams (Celtic Crusaders), Rhys Williams (Warrington Wolves), Mark Lennon (Celtic Crusaders), Ian Watson (Leigh Centurions), Craig Kopzcak (Bradford Bulls), Sean Penkywicz (Halifax), David Mills (Hull Kingston Rovers), Ben Flower (Celtic Crusaders), Geraint Davies (Celtic Crusaders), Andy Bracek (Warrington Wolves), Ian Webster (Celtic Crusaders), Rhys Griffiths (Castleford Tigers), Jordan James (Celtic Crusaders), Matt Barron (Gateshead Thunder)

This might be about raising the profile of the game in Wales, but an inevitable drubbing by England B, isn't a brilliant strategy. A Celtic (or even Gaelic in Glasgow or Dublin) select XIII, with a few of the Aussie world cup players would be better preparation for England's 4-nations tilt, too.
