| This is a terrible decision.
The 2008 World Cup was a competition that was able to embrace all of the communities that are growing the game at a fast rate.
I attended a number of games and the ability for people from Tonga, Samoa, PNG, New Zealand, Australia and the like to be able to support their nation was something that should have been allowed to grow with another competition in Australia.
The 2008 WC was the most profitable and well run in the competitions history. The fact it was played in a time zone with the most Rugby League fans, the biggest Rugby league TV aduience and the biggest number of regular Rugby League sponsors should have been taken into account.
This is a really, really bad decision. This news makes me really sad for the opportunity the game will have missed.

Yes because Robbie Kearns speaks for a nation.
I like France. When ever we want to have a big bike ride of fight a war and know the locals will to too busy eating stinky cheese to get involved....there it is.

I was on the London Eye once and an American tourist in my capsule mistook the 750 foot tall television mast at Crystal Palace (around 8 miles away) for the Eiffel Tower, exclaiming "Oh my God! We can see all the way to Paris from here!"

There is nothing to stop the NRL arranging for a developing nations tournament to run at the end of this year or next, involving the Indigenous Australians, Maoris, Tonga, Fiji, Samoa etc.
That is what they should be looking at if they are genuinely concerned over the development of the international game.......
