The ones at the events are done by using a mini FM transmitter and the set you get is set to a certain FM freq.

I never spoken to anyone yet who likes the Refs being wired for sound. Why can't the the TV people just turn on the sound when he's speaking to someone. Constant Move, Held and Surrender just annoys people, to the point of a lot of people now turn the sound off when viewing. I hate it.
