Now this I don't understand. Would Wakefield score higher than Quins on Finances? Stadium? Proximity to another club? Development of own players? Stadium?
Seriously, I would put Wakey ahead on crowds and performance on the field over the last 3 seasons but I wouold have Quins ahead everywhere else....I hope the RFL don't bin anyone......I hope they promote Fax in July and we have a 16 team league....home and away 30 week season + finals....but I don't get this bitterness from Wakefield fans.
It's not anyone elses fault you haven't built a stadium. It's not anyone elses fault you went bust. It certainly isn't harlequins RL's fault you bought loads of foriegn players and I doubt Salford are to blame for hell view being sold off in a very dodgy manner......but it might have beeen crusaders
Seriously, what will you do if you get 1,000,000 "likes" on the facebook page? Print it off and send it to the RFL As I type, 1,601 people 'like" it we have more fans on the Harlequins Facebook page FFS

Its not bitterness mate.
Player development - Look around SL and see how many players have been developed at Wakey
Finances - We are averaging nearly 7k at home whereas Quins are averaging 2,500. You can't sustain the business without David Hughes.
Stadium - what does it matter if there are only 2,500 or less in it.
Marketing - better than Quins (you can't deny it cos your always saying how crap Quins marketing is)
Look at the teams performances this season. 15 of 17 british players yesterday and without the points deduction we would be ahead of a number of clubs including Quins in the league.
Despite all the problems in pre-season Wakey are on the up and have improved things. Quins appear to be stagnating if not going backwards.

| I've still to see the evidence that Franchises have improved our game.
If you tighten the quota rules promotion and relegation works fine.

What rule? Are you not aware that thanks to Crusaders going bust/the potential image rights outcome the not going into admin clause has been removed?

are you for real..........
The next lot of home developed juniors still are, Blaymire, Griffin, George, Murphy, Wildie, Davey, Trout, Annakin, Spiers and with completely new ownership to secure the finances they won't be going anywhere.
Brough, Ellis, Weswood, Snitch, Mason, Griffin, Wood, Pitts, Ferguson, Atkins all players in SL who were developed into SL players at Wakefield.
Haughy, Handforth, King, Applegarth, Bibb, Helm, Spicer.......you know what, too many to mention in the lower divisions!
For the first time in the sports history a club has marketed the game by primetime TV advertising twice in a season and there will be more.
The Community element is well documented as being exemplary.
Sponsorship, Hospitality & Merchandising is at an all time high.
The clubs membership scheme is approaching the 5,000 mark and season tickets have sold well since the uncertainty surrounding the pre season was resolved.
Wakefields crowds are up by an average 670 per game when compared with last years corresponding games, the average attendance being around the 7,000 Mark.
The stadium can be delivered and Savilles have had two meetings and done their investigations to confirm this. Their second meeting was attended by the head of Wakefield Council, the head of Wakefield planning, the Chair of the all party parliamentary group, the MD/owner of the development company who confirmed the FULL funding being in place, the shadow Home Secretary, The shadow Chancellor, a Knight of the Realm and the new owners of Trinity. The timescale of the PI has been confirmed and that allows the developer to give an informed date for construction and delivery of the stadium. It won't be for 2012 but will be mid 2013 all subject to a positive answer from the SoS of course but sources suggest that as the probable outcome.
You can compare Wakefield with Widnes in terms of their Administration and subsequent new ownership but that's where it ends. The main difference between the two is the ten years of building that Wakefield have gone through as a club and despite the failings of the old ownership, they did develop the club well in many areas.
The RFL, SL and Trinity have invested a significant amount of SKY and private money into Wakefield and to abandon that just when the club have turned a big corner and seen light at the end of a long tunnel would be a travesty. Widnes hadn't had that and so the decision to turn them down last time was different to the Wakefield one this time.
The RFL want a strong Wakefield club in SL, I know that blows the Trinity fans conspiracy theories away, but that's the truth from the horses mouth. Wakefield, in a new stadium, with new ownership and the finances to spend the full cap offers the RFL & SL the best possibility of another City club joining the likes of Warrington, Huddersfield & Sts etc.
Alongside Wigan the Wakefield area produces a huge amount of talent and the loss of Wakefield would be damaging to that.
I don't want any club to lose it's franchise and my long held opinion is that no one will be! I fully expect the league to be expanded contrary to the statements made by many. The RFL would not be able to justify the removal of any club if Crusaders remain, I expect the announcement in July to state that no one is being removed and that Halifax or AN OTHER will make it a 16 team competition.

Yeah....and the RFL will totally ignore the fact that both went to the wall and that wakey have no ground........
...I have said it before, I hope wakey stay and fax come in to make it a 16 team league, but the idiots who point and scream about other clubs failings in the hope it will distract attention from the fiasco that is their own club really don't help wakefields cause.
