That’s what we are all thinking. Look at him ‘biting’ that Cronus guy is sooooo good at this, getting people to respond to him on a forum specifically designed so people respond to each other. If only I could get you responding to me then I too could be one of lifes winners. Sadly it isn’t to be, ill just look on in envy wishing i could use a yellow smiley face dancing in a mocking tone. One day, god willing, I will also write things i dont believe and know to be ridiculous, and somebody will tell me those things are ridiculous and I too can use that little yellow smiley face dancing to mock them, that day I will be a real cool dude too!

Whether you like the scoring system or not a player would still have had to "put a decent season together"to win the award.
Or are you suggesting that Tomkins/Chase/Dobson/Richards/Dureau didnt have decent seasons when they won the award?
Im not saying that Brough was the best player of 2008,but he certainly "put a decent season together".If you cant or wont acknowledge that,so be it.  |

Im saying the Albert Goldthorpe medal is a terrible judge of quality. It favours certain types of player and excludes others for a ridiculous reason. I dont think it is a coincidence that Dureau, Dobson, Brough and Chase have won it. They all take up a role similar teams which rely/relied heavily on them.
It seems that at least 80% of the time, to win the Albert Goldthorpe medal you need to be the best halfback in a lower/middle team which over achieves compared to pre-season expectation.

Brough is an outstanding defender and is also a left footed kicker both of which make him different Sinfield. In some ways he would complement Sinfield.
