| Quote: ]I think the thing people don't like about this "The Glorious League Freak"]I think the thing people don't like about this "traveling KR fans" topic is this.
They are Hull KR fans.
And they are traveling.
To where other people live.
Now, thats a problem, and let me tell you why.
Evolution.
See, a few million years ago primitive man started to travel. He wanted more than what he saw around him and so he got his leopard skin digs, grabbed his brontosaurus bone, got his sabretooth cat and his b*tch (In that order mind you!) and started a very long walk.
He walked for days. He walked for weeks. Hell, he walked for years.
He liked walking you see.
Anyway one day he settled down in a nice little place, smelled like fish, but at the time he put that down to his missus.
Time rolled on, and the rest of the human population evolved. This were invented, man moved forward and become a thinking beast.
However, deep in East Hull, primitive man had no idea about the changes going on around him.
Then, he discovered crack.
Now, I don't want to start running down any particular supporter base in the game, but Hull KR are violent, stupid, un-evolved, cave dwelling, criminal crack heads.
So when they get that itch to start traveling again.....of course people start to get a bit upset.
At the end of the day, its just a fact of life.
Death, taxes, a KR fan stole my car and shat on the back seat.
And so concludes this thread.'"
now bearing in mind the fact that LF stated that English Rl was crap compared to Australian RL and he was right. I have to give his above point a high degree of credibility

I can only imagine they missed a nought off the back of each one. How can a publication noted for accuracy get away with that?'"

Just say there was a food shortage, right?? It wouldn't take long before people started to travel further and further to get their food.
Same with crack.
You have to remember, these KR fans are all about migration patterns. They went north for the winter trying to find greener pastures in Africa, or as I like to call it, my spiritual home.
Anyway on their trip they get into the whole migration deal, as I said, they like walking.
Thats why you'll see KR fans walking around win one flip flop on. See, they found one, and they figure eventually they'll come across another on on their travels.
Anyway, migration is a big part of their lives.
Every second Friday for instance, the mature KR fan will migrate to the local dole office.
So the away trip is just built into their system.
I really should write a paper on all of this. I'd title it "KR Fans: A Step Back Down The Evolutionary Ladder".

Wigan V Saints attendance for that game played on 27th March 1959 was actually 47,477.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| It's a shame this thread has been slightly de-railed.
It's clear to see that alot of clubs (both SL and NL1) have had great attendences in the past and should be congratualted. We (as in SLRL) can only dream of repeating them.
However, I am sure, all jokes aside, most clubs would agree that Hull KR always take a large away following. While this may form part of a 'cliche' or 'joke' for some on here it cannot be denied that we provide alot of extra income for clubs which can only be positive. (Infact, the Bradford chairman has recently commented on how much he appreciates our support).
I don't comment often on here, but I really hope my fellow HKR fans can refrain from 'taking the bait' (from many on here) and just continue to support HKR in the most vocal way possible.... i.e. on the terraces!!
We may not have the highest 'home support' average, but certainly we must be amongst the highest away support average. I just wish all clubs followed their team as passionately away from home.
