Going back to the original post, TW have assembled (aka bought) a very strong Championship team and are best placed to have a stab at beating the bottom 4 of SL come the end of the regular season. Regardless of anything else, the way the competition is organised means that as a minimum a Championship team will be playing a current SL team in the MPG... and we've seen what Leigh can do already this season in a one-off game.

Of the other 5 contenders for the top 4 places, it's very tight at the moment. Fev and Fax are part-time, and this becomes a real problem when it gets to the intensity of the qualifiers, and Toulouse and London don't have any real strength in depth in their squad. Leigh are the only realistic contenders against SL opposition, but their poor start to the season could be their undoing (hopefully compounded with an unlikely win for Fax against them this coming weekend!).

This time round, I'd think it'll be a SL vs Championship MPG.

Okay...some people on here don't understand the mindset over here and that is understandable since it is a different continent and country and culture. Plus,there are people, for alternate reasons , who don't want to accept the stark reality of TWP.....I will give you the correct answer to your question straight from the hip but some won't like it and then....well you know...

We will do whatever it takes ....anything less than being in the top 4 of Super League is the answer....the question should be , "What one of the top 4 will be knocked out?"....going back down isn't even an acceptable option, but I guess it could happen....remember TWP have a 5 Year Plan...at the end of that 5 years make no doubt about it....TWP will be in the Top 4 permanently....

To understand the mindset on the ground over here, the amount of money and the will, understand that each of the current TWP Players was presented with a diamond encrusted personalized dog tag yesterday to cement the expectation that I have outlined above....we are giving out free diamonds over here....right to the top, that is our expectation and we will do whatever it takes to get there....top 4 and then the title....thats the obvious end game here on this end (5 years).

Depends which team they play I suppose.
If the MPG is played in Toronto I think they could push Widnes close (on current form).
Salford also don't seem to be doing too hot at the minute and they've just swapped one of their best players (Hauraki) for a prop and a winger which I think overall is a downgrade.
I'm expecting Catalans to make it out of the bottom 4 before the split, possibly replaced by Huddersfield, but I think Hudds have enough to avoid the MPG either way.
Hull KR will be in the mix but how they go will be determined by how many players they can get back from injury.

But do you not think that a number of SL clubs have done everything in their power to win the title and still not succeeded? What makes Toronto any different? Apart from the diamond dog tags of course.

So what happens after your first season in SL where you're dead bottom of the league? What do you do then? Sign the entire NSW Side?

They'll soon decide that it's not sustainable to just keep throwing money around...
