| I reckon it has a lot to do with Super League ties. For example, I'm a Rhinos fan and I started following Brsibane when Toni Carroll joined them, then I saw how good Lockyer is and carried on supporting them coz of him!
I've spoke to other Rhinos fans about this and a lot follow the Eels coz they have the same colours and a lot follow the Cowboys coz Graham Murray coached there recently and he is a bit of a legend in Leeds after coaching us to Challenge Cup victory.
It also helps that (as much as I hate to admit it) the NRL is the best RL in the world, hence the State of Origin's large following over here.
So do any Aussies follow Super League teams?

He chose the name of a cross dressing Austalian institutions other persona.....and is your typical Aussie w@nker living in London whilst he tries to get some culture by visiting Prague to get pi55ed on Cheap Star, getting a fondle from a dodgy hooker in amsterdam and eating a snail for a bet when in paris. All of these things will make him a cultural icon when his visa runs out and he is sent the way of his great grandparents....alas, not in chains this time.[/quote:2v2cei1t]

| I'm only 25 but i am honored to have been able to watch airmailed videos of ARL games and being amazed by Newcastle's big game players; Harrogan, Johns, Glanville and later Buderus when the NRL was on SKY.
I also know the great Les Johns.
I own a Newcastle Jersey from around 1990 as well. Too nice NOT to wear.
Long live the Rebels!
I am a Loiner an Leeds are my home town team!

Thanks to the wonders of satelite tv , I'm able to watch the NRL . Because it is the best RL in the world I want to watch it , but I don't get as much enjoyment out of sport if I watch it as a neutral . Therefore in order to enhance my viewing pleasure , I wanted a team to follow , and I chose the Broncos ................'"
I admitted that the NRL was the best 2 pages ago .
Most English fans will tell you the same . We don't pretend that SL is perfect .

Why does one need to be better than the other? If you're a real RL fan can't you watch and appreciate both? I know plenty of soccer fans that watch English, Spanish, Italian and German games without having to bicker about which is better, it's the same sport which you should either like or dislike regardless of the country or standard of play.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| I like watching St George, Newcastle, Parramatta and Gold Coast.
I find Cronulla (Sorry Barry McKenzie) , Penrith, New Zealand Warriors, Melbourne boring to watch and not bothered about the rest.
