I take back what I said about Wakefield only going into a CVA the second time. According to companies house it was actually in 2000. In 2011 they went into administration and were dissolved in 2013. The current company buying that club off the administrator.

Under the terms of the CVA, Wakefield paid HMRC in full.

Bulls still owe tens, if not hundreds of £1000s to a number of businesses, many of them small Bradford businesses.

The old company owning Trinity was dissolved when Spirit of 1873 bought the club. They weren't bankrupt, they ceased to trade having sold their one and only asset/business concern.

I'm sure they would have gone bust, if Mr Carter hadn't bought the club...but they didn't.

Back on topic. There have been a few examples of rugby league players taking the p on reality TV shows. Thinking of Martin Offiah on Gladiators, Clive Sullivan on Superstars and Scott Moore on Police interceptors.
