Both teams' players all rush in to the melee and loads of stuff happens. There is no question of a VR analysis so the ref and his assistants have to talk, and have to call it as they see it. Which they did. So stop whingeing. If Clarke hadn't risked getting involved he would have stayed on the field. After he got involved, one or more officials has said they saw something that merited a sin binning and that's just the way it goes. Maybe they did. To call it "madness" is so OTT as to be funny.

If you had actually witnessed the latest instalment in Mr Child's clear and obvious vendetta against widnes you would know that 'madness' is very much an understatement for the outright bias shown by that twonk on sunday. A vendetta he has pursued with a complete lack of professionalism since his championship debut officiating a game between us and Oldham. A game in which he started with several massive clangers, got some stick from the crowd, obviously took it personally and has continued to grind that particular axe against us ever since. without any shame or any attempt to hide it. You know its bad when you have die hard saints fans saying they couldnt believe how biased he was.

It was more shouting and pointing the finger at the Saints players, rather than having a go at Child I think.

I've heard the audio between the officials. Clarke was seen to throw a punch. Whether that shows on the video or not is irrelevant. A touch judge saw it in the melee, so he got binned.

Also, Child asked the touch judge if could point anything out that was wrong from Saints. Touch judge stated nothing. No punches were seen thrown from any Saints player - so no Saints player got a card. I've heard people saying "well it was a fight, so one from each team should go" Not true. a) its only a fight if at least one player from each team is throwing. b) as an official you cant just bin a player just because you thing you should. If there arent grounds, he cant go.

If he missed Wilkin fly in first he should be stepped down from the sideline immediately. Unless Bernard was the touchy?

If you can have 25 blokes pushing and shoving but only one punishable 'punch' I'd be very surprised. There was no 'coming together' until Wilkin and LMS got involved.

It was poor officiating to punish one side for that. Simple as. About ten different reasons given as to why only Clarke but simple answer even by many fans is it made little / no sense.

You where on about this particular incident... The fact penalty counts always tend to even themselves out in games is another matter.

For a start, it wasn't a brawl, nothing happened. And that's what I heard/what I thought from what I saw.
