Adverts are fine, but not fond of seeing large banner ads about the union lionesses tour match at old sydnonians. I come on here to get away from the union biased media.

I try not to let completely irrelevant little things upset me, I find it leads to a pretty depressing existence otherwise.

Just be happy in the knowledge that their money is directly funding our great game.

Alternatively you could team up with Durham Giant and go on a sponsor destroying vigilante mission to rid Rugby League of all evil...

Is there anything Rugby League fans won't moan about? The money from adverts on the site pay all the costs which is incurred by running and maintaining a large site such as this. It also directly fund RL initiatives right through from grass roots to sponsorship of the Exiles. It keeps this site free to use and means us, as members, don't have to pay a subscription fee.

Is it really that hard to just ignore a small advert at the side of a page? You're adults not children.

Not a problem it was the creation of this thread that reminded me it needed doing.

I think the crux has been mentioned already, but I will re-iterate, this site is now so popular it needs adverts to keep it afloat, I can't think of any other similar site in any sport or RL like LRL, superleaguefans, totalrl, skysports etc that is run without advertising, we keep the ads in set positions that hardly really get in the way of what is to over 130,000 regular users a totally free website, free news, free forums, free fantasy rl, free live scores, free ticket giveaways, free stats, free mobile sites. A place you can go, free from spam, bullying, illegal posts, a community feel etc.

It does take considerable costs to keep all that running smoothly even when over 3000 people are on at peak times. So the ads are here to stay, however if you fancy donating a large chink of money to rlfans we'll make sure the adverts are all removed for you

If you don’t want to post on here then feel free to go on Facebook where advertisements are around too. Only these adverts on Facebook don’t benefit rugby league and only serve to make Mark Zuckerberg richer.
